I don’t really know why but I’m starting to think that blogging in english should be good for this blog. Err, I don’t want to make any mad sovereignist jump out but knowing that a lot of our readers do not live in the Quebec, it seems to me fair to write in english to enable my post to have more reach…
Anyhow, today while I was doing some plastering to renovate this old appartment in NDG, I was thinking about whether or not I should post my new dubstep tracks. This may seem sellfish from someone that’s writing on a music blog, but ,to me, some tracks are just better when they’re rare — or even better, unrealesed.
Being a DJ, I like to think that gattering your tracks is at least 50% of being a good DJ. That being said, understand that these tracks are a gift from me to you, motherhsip reader, because they’re pure dope.
I got these last monday while I was looking for the sickest dubstep sound I could find either on the internet, on beatport, or simply @ the inbeat record store on st-laurent. And yes, some of these are vynil ripped by myself (but in really good quality — I’m a geek) so they’re pretty rare.
At the moment of this writing, I’m also preparing a totally new half-live set composed of all the best loops I’m sequencing from the best dubstep tracks I have. This is a new project, on which I’m working alone, using my MPD24 & ableton Live w/ the sequenced loops.
I’ll keep you informed ; I will probably release a demo when the first draft will be ready. It should be ready in about 2-3 weeks from now. (But it won’t be complete until I get my new APC40... hehehe)
