Last saturday @ zoobizarre was sick yo! we did packed the zoo again, mofomatronix did a great set, everybody was warmed up for techjio’s, which was great.  we started our performance with this track i posted in super hi qual last week and i had to remove it, edu k feat madame mim - head banger. This track is awesome. The vocals and the bass and everything, in fact, we talked with k boy, we can remix it. He sent us the separated vocals, synth/bass, FXs, and all the files are crazy. Edu k will also remix shu bawng = an honor for us.  I remember the first track we dropped because we have all the video of the night, Lapalme was filming with laurence’s camera and a little flashlight (some pocket-camping-flashlight, the vids looks like we’re in the blair project), but the sound is very good with her cam, so we’ll have some good youtubes soon.

As you can see on the pic, we received free stuff from 33mag for theses le mothership gig, ultra-huge thanks to Julien, 33mag will be supporting us by putting up our dates on the website and on the mailing list and stuff.  As you can also see on the pic, there was this girl with a bsbtrgdclub shirt! don’t you all think it’s cool?

The party ended up at some after on street ”i never heard of” in Villeray with homieboy funky falz, tony the tiger, Archibald sigleton and a lot of other artist.  But gille could not make it to the place, i don’t know, i jumped into this cab, he was supposed to take another cab, Lapalme too, they all missed some good night. I came back home at 9 in the morning, i saw techjio and le chat, they were working at 7, lol.

Smoking joints and drinking coffee.  I’m with Lapalme, young boy, he just got the job at the urban outfitter for girl on st-denis.  I’m slowly waking up, i know it’s 5 pm but yesterday i watched kung fu movies with gille until something like 5 or 6.  Jet li is good but i really prefer jackie chan.

Last friday, we were @ pilon house to see his appart, see if the cops come and if there is enought space and stuff, everything is perfect. we will be throwing several gigs in his place, starting in november, something like november 15 or 22. It was cool, Lapalme was totally drunk and he don’t remember a thing, like, im not sure if he remember us poppin the champagne listening to lil wayne’s poppin’ championship bottle.  Violnce was there with us, they did a little performance, i think lapalme remember this.  I bet you don’t even know who is violnce, but its part of their concept i think.  They are two producer/live performer coming from as far as us, they produce an ghetto/electro/rap that will be poppin in the myspaces and virbs and stuff soon.  a few hours before the party, we recorded one dope mix, i was throwing vocals and they were doing the beats with their electribe.  We can’t zshare the mix because they don’t want it out, part of the concept or i don’t know, lol

We are working on some other dope originals productions, one with las vegas’ fabulous teen wolf doing the vocals, he did crazy vocals, he even recorded him smoking weed, like in the good rap song, in the begining you have them rappers smoking weed and then the dj drop the beat.  The whole thing will be on the internets very soon with a remix from majestic techjio.  Working with rappers (or vocalist or whatever) is great, we are looking for a girl to work with us one some prods, like some ep or something.

This week we release this remix we quickly did for aerotronic, we did it quick because of the samples they sent us, they we just perfect to work with. It have one electro flavor we dont usually have, we’re scared of this word (the ”e” word), but for this one i can honestly say it sounds electro.

Last friday, we edited this kid cudi song to drop it @ salon officiel and we realized how cool edits are.  Since then, we edited some tracks and even a remix, i’m not sure if we can edit a remix, but we did it.  We just want to drop these in our dj sets. if there’s a track (or a remix, we actually don’t care) that we love, but it’s difficult to mix or we only play the end of it, or anything, editing it the way we want it makes our dj sets differents/cooler/fun. You’ll see it in the tracklisting of the welikeit.indie mix we are doing.  We’ re working on many other edits, i don’t think we will release all of em on the internet, if someone tell me we can edit a remix, we will zshare them.

By the way, it was fun at salon officiel, that was a ”qui s’y frotte s’y pique”, Pigeon was stuck in ontario so falz transmuted* into the resident dj and we were the guest.  We got beers and pizzas, Gille loves pizzas.

Lapalme just posted the flyer of this gig we are throwing on october 25.  After the supersuccesfull official grand lancement, we decided to throw monthly le mothership party, starting this month, we will also throw secrets houseparty in our own appartement but also in other places because everytime we do a party in this appart, this cops-girl knock at the door and she remember us, i don’t know why it’s always her (and the other guy) that come to tell us to shut it. Maybe she receive the call and she’s like ”oh, i know these kids, let’s just tell em to fuck off”. She’s not even a sexy cops.  Facebook users, rsvp here, yo.

Another sweet backstreetboys monday where we’ll have some 300 views today and 600 tomorrow.  Since we installed this thing that give us the stats of our blog, we know that we have minimum 250 view every days and for me and lapalme, there’s a contest to know who got the more view, my backstreetboys mondays or his shitty articles.  Last week we had all our views on tuesday, so lapalme says it’s not official.  That son of a bitch.

Today, we are releasing ipon sawanage, our dopest production ever, we used theses dope sitar samples, creating one very dope flavor.  I have nothing else to say, this one deserve a download, yo.  It’s one piece of art.

This morning we received the flyer for the next le mothership superparty @ zoobizarre.  Marc the graphist (he was featured in the last le chat montreal) really did great.  We will create the facebook event in the next days so get ready to rsvp rude. We will be throwing monthly le mothership event in association with pop!pop! clothing and another good name we still need to confirm the sponsorship.  Some at zoobizzare because its so great playing in the zoo, but we are also actively looking for some loft/hangar/garage/house/room/plane/spaceship to throw some really ghetto gigs. no terasse, cheap beer, dj sets until something like 6 in the morning, exactly what everybody is looking for.  We have some friends that think exacly like us for the partying and the clubbing thing and the very important ghetto side of it.  There is some kind of revolution going on.

We worked on some crazy originals songs in the last week, with dope samplers and dope sounds.  I’m still working on this ep as propro (which im trying to upload one of the songs on myspace but i think there is a problem with myspace and the new myspace player) while we are producing some dope tracks with jill as bsbtrgdclub.  Next week we’ll have another original song called ipon sawanage.

Sorry for the late post, at least, its not midnight.  We got our videotron internet connexion cutted until friday. I had to ask jiotech if i can use his internet for the backstreetboys monday post. This week we only have this non-downloadable preview of the matt cox - it start with one remix. His ep will be out soon, and we only need to wait. I just sent the contract to those electric kink records guys.  This week we are actively working on many productions, like shu bawg and some other secret things.  And without internet, it will be easy to spend all day in the studio, then go to sleep, then do the same thing the next day.  Without no streaming, of no facebook, without no spare time, there is only one thing we can do: produce more.

these tracks are not really secrets, but i’m working on some crazy tracks, signed propro. Like some ep or something, but we will release those on blogs.  Full of samplers and highly remixable material, to be remixed by us and friends.  I’ll have more info about it soon, for now, these are just beats, samplers over beats, and stuff. I dont even have a name for the ep but this willl probably be something like “megaman shumimasaku el propro ep muai tai”

We are also recording mixes for many blogs and people, one for good friend from the blogoshere welikeit.indie, those guys have good projects, this is what he told me about his new online store:

I woke up a few hours ago, jillijill and i are ready to try out our new approach of the dj scene in montreal.  We will focus on the productions and on the gigs we are throwing.  Like those le mothership parties and some others things we have in mind.  Playing too much in this city make us looks like we’re the new hype and i feel like we are gonna die soon.  The only way to survive in montreal is to become resident dj somewhere, which sucks.  We are artist and we are really serious about it.  We’re now not taking booking in those clubs we’re not sure this is gonna be a event.  We will be in the studio more and in the streets making friends and contacts less, well, Lapalme is there for that, this guys will act more like he’s our manager or something, but remember we have no manager or no booking agency working for us, so, Lapalme will act like if he is.  Respect him, this guys is working a lot, he know what is up and he share the same ideas and concepts than us.  The main idea is still the same: producing a lot, playing a lot, but for now, start thinking about us as active producers, not active djs.  To make this djing part more interesting, we are buying some new material @ moog audio with the good advice of good friend max to make our dj sets more visual and live.

Coming soon is our lollypop remix and the remix for afgan raiders.  watch out for others blogs this week because i’m sending those avalon omega, 50 cent and lil wayne remix to bloggers all over the internets.  We also have this shu bawng song ready soon with the techjio remix.  We’ll send those as a demo to some label we’re kinda friend with the owner. You will probably have more news about it next week.  We are also filming the most epic videoclip for shu bawng.  Alexandre Lapalme is the producer of the clip, im the original idea guy.  We will only need some empty room with a leather couch, weed, shu bongs and girls.  The vertebrate video is still in our mind but we need to wait for some people to start the project, thats more serious and professional.

This week exclusive is the a milli remix we already played in club twice or more, we sampled the intro to make this ”kinda synth” sound. We also used those gunclaps, which is very important in a rap remix.  We tryed to make this one different.  Its only 3 minutes or something, like the candy shop remix, those we tryed to make em sounds like freestyles, you know what i mean?  They’re both very short and there is no repetitive part, its only like ”intro-part1-break-part2-break-outro” or something. The lollypop remix will almost the same.

This week @ Backstreetboys monday, we have the 50 cent remix ready.  this one is some different shit with all the breaks and the vocals, we just cutted ”i like to lick the lollypop”,”girls dont you stop” and ”pop” and some other cut.  It also have a part where 50 look so soft, when its like ”girl girl girl girl girl girl girl i like girl girl girl..i like to lick the pop pop pop pop” it’s at 1:25. I really love it, i wonder how does it react in club, because it’s the kind of track you mix with another quick or something, its only 3:47. Djing really change the productions and remixes we do. Some are bangers we create in order to break everything down and drop the beats, but some others like the 50 cent remix are made to bring us to the ”break everything down and drop the beat” banger.

This week we’re djing saturday @ academy with dj okin and two man army for those night school co. guys, i know its le matos first show the same night, even us, we will go see their show, i heard they are playin from 10h30 to 11h15, so we will probably be able to be there. Then we call the dude in taxi 3 and he bring us the the academy in two minutes.  You can do the same, we are probably playing around 1:00 or something. we expect our people to be there, academy club is one very nice club. Last friday @ big city night was enormous.  Playing with cherry coco @ the big city night and using the ”big city night filter effect” was soo funny because we always laught at it when we hear cherry cola using it all the time, but when you play @ fouf, you need to use it, it responds very well and so i was doing the filtering effects with cherry coco during techjio’s dj set and all the way into the absolute filter proton and neutron parrallel world for the bsbtrgdclub set. The whole sound setup is great, i think it’s the best sound system we played on since backstreetboystotalrude i love caro when we rent club speaker @ moog to throw a party in our appartement. But the sound wasn’t so perfect this night, i wonder where you have the very best sound. SAT look awesome, Zoobizarre look awesome, where is the best club?

This week we have the 88mph wushu gongfu remix ready but some release can occur and we are talking serious shits with le matos guys to know when there will be a release and who’s in.  We can’t say much for now but i can tell that we have dj arcade, Philgood, bsbtrgdclub and the toxic avenger remixing it, plus le matos did a reedit of the track, calling it parkinson edit, jp told me that this will be more house.  he’s always hi on redbull in clubs and he’s always talking a lot, but in fact, he act a lot so, some release will certainly happen and thats when you will be able to download this remix. For now, you can only listen to it at a low bitrate, 128kbps.  The hi quality version is played in clubs.
